The third grade classroom was abuzz with excitement this afternoon as they used the Engineering Design Process. Teams of mechanical engineers designed and then built a catapult that would be able to launch a candy pumpkin. Everyone had fun and learned a great deal in the process! Winners were Claire Bushong, Emma Eldridge, and Benjamin Hirschfeld. Their pumpkin soared, landed, and rolled 26 feet. It probably would have gone further, but it collided with the baseboard in the back of the room!
