K-6 Phys Ed Basketball Champions
Last week we wrapped up our basketball unit. Students worked hard on dribbling, passing, shooting with correct form, offense and defense. Proud of everyone's hard work!

On behalf of New Knoxville School, we would like to thank all of our veterans who attended our Veterans Day assembly. Thank you to all who are currently serving and those who have served.
Thank you to Mr. Halko and our high school students for putting on a tremendous assembly!!

The NK Happy Cheeks cushions were such a success, we decided to order more! There is a limited supply available. If you are interested, contact Mrs. Gross or any 8th grade student or parent. The profit from this fundraiser supports the 8th grade Washington D.C. trip.

Halloween fun in 1B!

New Knoxville School's Parent Teacher Conferences will be taking place tomorrow Thursday 11/2 and next Tuesday 11/7 from 4:15 pm to 8 pm by scheduled appointments only. Letters were sent home or mailed out a few weeks ago. If you did not receive a letter, then your student most likely did not have a teacher request an appointment. However, ALL parents are welcome to schedule appointments with any teacher if they wish. Our Scheduling link is on our website under the Parents Tab. Click on Parent-Teacher Conferences. Please call the school office if you have any difficulties scheduling. NHS will be offering free baby-sitting in the cafeteria both nights. We look forward to meeting about your child's progress! Book Fair will be open in the media center on Thursday night.

Designing and creating a catapult that could send a candy pumpkin soaring through the air proved to be challenging but fun for 3A and 3B students!

Trick-or-Treat Crankenstein was a hit for this Halloween Day activity! MEHHHRRRR!

4th graders used place value blocks and discs to represent and solve multiplication equations. Math is fun!

5th and 6th graders got an early lesson on acids and bases with a Harry Potter inspired "potion" demonstration. They learned about wafting and even practiced on some unknown substances. They identified the substances and matched them to their number on the pH scale. 🧪👩🏼🔬🥽⚗️

Pumpkin Soup continued...

Pumpkin Soup Day!

Spooky season fun in Mrs. Gross's class! 🎃

2A had a day packed with pumpkin fun! We carved our pumpkin and counted 804 seeds! Then we used our knowledge of non fiction text features to create a pumpkin book! 🎃

Congratulations to the NK drama members for a wonderful performance tonight. Many laughs were had by all in attendance. Reminder that there will be another performance Saturday at 6:30.

It was Pumpkin Carving Day in 1B to go along with our book of the week: Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper!

4A made ghosts "float and dance" during science class while studying static electricity. It was spook-tacular!
